ETEC 510 Peer Review

Group Members: Emma Sarbit, Adeel Farooq, Kym Francis, Michelle Furlotte, Chris Irvine

Project: Classroom Websites: We designed a classroom website (a crossover between a prototype and teacher-template) with the general goal of enhancing communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking skills in sixth through eighth grade middle school students.

Personal Contribution: For our final design project, I was responsible for: Setting up a Google-Document for the written portion of our project Editing and revising the Key Frameworks section, taking into account instructor feedback, additional research, and our experiences in completing the website Assisting with our group reflection and completing my personal reflection Assisting with the overall editing of all sections of the final document Adding specific features to the website template including: Twitter feed, homepage contents, page explanations (e.g., how teachers could use that particular page), online gradebook etc. Checking content throughout website and testing access to various components of the website Maintaining communication amongst group members to ensure all members were up to date on what still needed to be completed as well as what had already been accomplished. Other Group Members Contributions: In my opinion, Adeel deserves additional recognition for his part in setting up the website prototype. He was our go-to guy for technical know-how knowledge and took on the challenge of repairing our oops! However, overall I believe that each of us contributed equitably to our final project. We worked well together as a group and utilized each team members strengths in order to complete our project. In order to ensure we each contributed fairly, we created and utilized a Google-Doc Spreadsheet to track contributions and ensure equality in participation. I have included screenshots of this document on the following page. I enjoyed working with these team members and look forward to further opportunities to work together in future MET courses.
