It is a vast international network that is the most preferred WAN of the world. It is a network of networks , made by joining computer together with telephone lines.

It came into existence in1969. U.S department of Defense sponsored a project named APARNET . In mid 80s a new high capacity network, NSFnet was created. Later many private companies built their own networks, which interconnected with APARNET and NSFnet to form INTERNET.

Technological advancement affect every aspect of society. Internet has brought the society under one roof by providing information globally and reachable to everyone.

My most important work on internet for finding information regarding education and projects. For sending e-mails and chatting with friends on social networking sites.

My father use internet to carry out electronic commence. For sending and checking e-mails and video conferencing. For finding recipes of different dishes.

To perform research regarding their subjects. To distribute lecture notes and course materials to their students. To publish papers and articles for magazines.

For downloading movies and songs. Getting knowledge regarding new products and new courses.

Internet has globalized the world . People came closer by means of Internet. If used properly it is like a magic wand that gives whatever we want in less time.
