GIVING TREE ASSEMBLY Tuesday 10th December, Period 3

1. Introduction (SRC reps) - Basil and Naufal To our guests from the Good Shepherd Centre, parents, family members, staff and students, Welcome to the Giving Tree assembly. This is a time for us to gather together and celebrate Christmas as well as the start of this years holiday season We will be beginning our assembly today with an item prepared by Miss Wendy and her CCA group called The 12 days of Christmas. Please welcome them to the stage.

2. Thank you Thank you Miss Wendy and your junior school group for that entertaining and fun performance of the 12 days of Christmas. We would now like to welcome the Young Voices to the stage who are going to perform for us a medley of Christmas songs.

3. Thank you to Mrs Genet (Pronounced 'Genay') and the Young Voices Choir for that beautiful medley of songs to put us in the Christmas spirit.

4. Giving tree appeal For many years AISM students have been a part of the Giving Tree Appeal. This is an opportunity for us all to reflect on our own lives and the lives of others, to recognise and be happy for where we are and to extend that feeling by reaching out, with compassion, to others who are less fortunate, and make their Christmas this year as merry as ours will be. Our school has a long standing relationship with the Good Shepherd Centre, a non-profit organisation that cares for, houses, educates, feeds and takes care of over 80 children and young adults aged 4-21 As you can see, once again your generosity has been amazing and we would now like to invite Pastor Jacop from the Good Shepherd Centre to the stage to accept these Christmas gifts that we hope will put a smile on the faces of the children and young adults that live at the centre.
