The written group paper must include critical thinking components of cultural sensitive and competent nursing care: 1. 2. 3. 4. Health care beliefs, folks medicine, death and dying rituals. Culture influences on the health- seeking behavior. Common variables across cultural groups to provide culturally competent nursing care. Cultural implications for nursing practice communication, barriers, space, touch, religion, and diet, common physical and psychological conditions or diseases of the culture. Implications for culturally sensitive/competent nursing care of the clients from selected culture. Evidence-based nursing practice include at least one evidence based nursing article to support the accuracy of information about nursing care of selected culture. Papers must be typed in APA format, and should be no more than 10 pages. Grading criteria for written group paper reflects College of Nursing written rubrics listed in the syllabi. Papers must be submitted to TURN-IT-IN, FIUs plagiarism-prevention software.
