B: Summarize the AUTHORs main point or idea- at LEAST 1-2 paragraphs The article talks about water borne

diseases how they occur, their source, their effects on people and what we can do to prevent them. There are so many ways that microbes can get in our water or so in our homes such as industries, chemicals released from different factories, road constructions, cars, wastes and more. Some of the diseases they cause in humans body includes, respiratory diseases and infections, liver diseases and more. In extreme cases it can cause paralysis and even death. Occasions which implied the diseases above and the occurrence of water pollution in real life has occurred. The article suggests to move away from the current destructive practices including clearcutting, wetlands drainage and extensive use of pavement and to switch to smart growth strategies

c. What I think about the article The fact that a natural resource as important as water can be polluted by daily activities is scary. Its possible to pollute water by easy means such as shopping, not directly but if we think about when go shopping we use our car thats one, we go buy cloths, that were made in factories or likely transported from some place, thats two and the last but not least is the industries or factories the cloths are made in are the main contributors for water pollution. So even if we cant get rid of the problem a 100% we can decrease by minimizing our actions

So what? Microbes cause water pollution and have a negative effect on the life and physical aspects of water

Says who? Michael A. Mallin
