Introduction
In this article I will talk about 2 groups of people who migrated to the United States to find an easier life. Then I will have 2 maps of where they lived and where they immigrated to. Here are some reasons why people migrate: The first reason is to find an easier life somewhere else in the world that has more food than the place they lived at. The second reason is because maybe there was not enough food or water where they used to live.

Vietnamese immigrating
My first group is Vietnam they immigrated to the United States because of the Vietnam War from 1954 to 1975. The main religions in Vietnam are Buddhism, Taoism, and Roman Catholicism. Before 1975 there were almost no Vietnamese living in the United States . The Vietnam War was the primary reason people immigrated to the US. they settled in warm places. In 1984 most of the people who migrated to either California or Texas. Most of them also migrated to Virginia, Washington, Florida, New york, Louisiana, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. They came to the United States mainly as refugees and asylum seekers from the mid 1970s onward. The amount of people who migrated to the United States grew faster than other immigrant groups in the 1970s, 1980s, and the 1990s. The population has since grown much slower than the overall immigrant population in the United States. There was about 1.1 million foreign born from Vietnam residing in the United States in 2008. In the year of 1990 the number of Vietnamese born was 543,262.

Germans
People in Germany immigrated to the United States around the year of 1700. Many Germans were fleeing their homeland to find an easier life in other European countries, the Western Hemisphere, and Australia due to extremely violent conditions. Unlike most immigrants, German immigrants mostly did not immigrate for political reasons. People in Germany immigrated to the United States because many of them decided to come to the United States because of civil unrest in Germany and job opportunities in the United States. Very few of the people in Germany migrated for political reasons.

Compare and Contrast

Now I will tell you some things that are the SAME about my 2 groups and some things that are DIFFERENT about my 2 groups Here are some things that are DIFFERENT between the 2 groups 1. One thing that is DIFFERENT between my 2 groups is that one group migrated because of a war (the Vietnam War) the other group migrated to find a better homeland in the united states 2. Another thing that is DIFFERENT between my two groups is that one of my groups migrated in 1984 and my other group migrated in the year of 1700.
