A. Professional Goals #1: To relate curriculum to real world and engaging situations. #2: To develop and implement effective and positive classroom management techniques B. Goal 1- I feel it is important for students to know why they are learning the curriculum outcomes and how they can relate and use their knowledge in the real world. Students engagement can be related to the applicability of the lessons and I feel they will benefit greatly from real world application. Goal 2- Classroom management is an area that I need improvement in. I need to find the balance between a very structured classroom and a very unstructured classroom to find where my classroom management works best. C. Strategies Goal 1- To research and emphasize real world situations that connects to the curriculum. I need to find the students interests and goals and relate the curriculum as best as I can to the students. Goal 2- To try different strategies from associates and research strategies that will be positive for my students. I need to find a balance that works for me and that is successful in my classes. Once my strategies have been found I need to be consistent with these. D. Indicators of Progress Goal 1- students are engaged and know the connection as to why they are learning something Goal 2- Students come out thinking positively to my classroom management techniques. When walking into my classroom students know what to do and how to act. E. Timeline for Completion Goal 1- continues throughout practicum. (It will be ongoing through each different unit) Goal 2- by midway through practicum
