To observe the students and their attitudes and at the same time observing the teachers how do they deal with their job as a teacher and what techniques are they using in teaching.

On Thursday 17 of October I visited Al Towayya Kindergarten from 8:00 to 12:00. Actually it was my first time to visit a nursery and I was so lucky because they give me chance and allowed me to take teacher's role in teaching the students, although it is forbidden, but i think because they saw me very active with students and participating with them in everything thats why they asked me if I want to teach the students, I was shocked, but I replied yes sure I want and I am ready, because I wanted to challenge myself and to watch my capabilities in teaching. It is not like I thought that teaching little kids will be easy. In my opinion I think it is more difficult than teaching adults students. Because they need more attention, more care and more patience.

So what I did is, at the beginning I introduce myself to them, and I asked them if they will accept me to teach them instead of their teacher, they all replied yes and they were very happy I think because I am not looking like a serious teacher thats why!! Some of them started asking me with so many questions such as, where do u live, do u have a sister, why u came to our school etc. I just stopped them by asking them questions and I tell them what bout games? Do u all want to play games? They replied with big yeeeeees, so I started doing competitions for them between each 2 students and asking them to point some numbers and shapes which were sticked on the board, and they all were very good especially the girls were more smart and active than boys. I also read for them a story and we played some mathematics games and we did review on the some animal's name. At break time, we all went to the toilet to wash their hands because it's time for their breakfast and before interring the toilet we read duaa entering the toilet and after finishing we exit from the toilet and read duaa too, they took their food and we all set on the floor and their teacher asked them what they should say before eating, so they all say it and they all know it that they should say bismilla.

First I faced so many difficulties such as it was difficult to me to control myself with some students specially the naughty one, because I know I am not patient enough thats why it was not my dream at all to be a teacher in future, Especially with kids they made me going crazy. I also find some difficulties in teaching such as that I am not giving them chance for thinking for the answer when I asked them to solve a question, I direct give them the answer if they dont know, so this was my big mistake.

Their teacher advised me and told me that I have to give the students chance to think and use their brain this is the way of best learning. The benefits are that I got my first chance in my life to teach the students, and I watched my capabilities were not bad that much for the first time teaching. I also learned that i should listen to students whatever they are saying and I have to answer their questions but in special way depending on the question. I should encourage the student in everything even tinny things.
