Dovilla Welcomes Representative for a Day Reading Contest Winners to State House
COLUMBUS - State Representative Mike Dovilla (RBerea) was joined in Columbus by winners of the 4th Annual Legislator for a Day reading competition. It was a pleasure to welcome several young citizens and their families to the Peoples House, said Dovilla. This innovative program provided a hands-on experience in representative democracy for our children, and I am encouraged by the continued enthusiasm and high level of participation we have seen throughout the district the past four years. In partnership with the Cuyahoga County Library, Rep. Dovilla initiated the Legislator for a Day reading program. Children in grades one through six participated in the program by receiving a bookmark from their school librarian or visiting the Berea, North Royalton, Olmsted Falls, or Strongsville branches of the Cuyahoga County Public Library. After recording five books that they read on the back of the bookmark, the returned bookmark served as their entry to become a Legislator for a Day. -30Editors Note: Attached please find a photo of Representative Dovilla with the winners of the 4th Annual Legislator for a Day Program from Berea, North Royalton, Olmsted Falls, O lmsted Township, and Strongsville.
