Re: Urbanization Knowledge PlatformTechnology and Innovation Collaboration Dear Lucio Campanelli,
This letter is to confirm that the Urban and Local Government Unit of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (hereafter, the Bank) wishes to enter into a collaboration with impulse inc. to explore the use of innovative new technologies in support of the Urbanization Knowledge Platform (UrbKP). As currently formulated, the UrbKP mission is to put the worlds best knowledge and innovations into the hands of urban practitioners, policymakers, and researchers. Cooperation between the Bank and inpulse is intended to advance this ambitious mission by enabling the UrbKP to leverage outside innovations so to better manage and deliver knowledge to our diverse community of urban professionals. The following activities shall contribute to the execution and success of this collaboration: 1. Apply the latest in knowledge management technology to better make sense of the World Banks vast stock of urban knowledge, such as through intelligent tagging, personalized search, and context-based discovery. 2. Pilot cutting edge innovations to more effectively share and manage urban knowledge across our network of partners and practitioners. 3. Help facilitate a global community of practice around the transformative topic of urbanization through online interactivity. By exploring the latest in knowledge management innovations, the UrbKP aims to lead the way in realizing the vision of an open Knowledge Bank. We are delighted to be collaborating with inpulse inc. under the Urbanization Knowledge Platform and look forward to the implementation phase.
