Explanation of 2G Capacity(Max no of user) If there is three TRXs in a sector Total 8 time slot (0-7) 1.

First TRX-----1 is BCCH - 1 SDCCH (remaining 6 are TCH) 2.Second TRX----1 slot is SDCCH (remaining 7 are TCH) 3.Third TRXs----1 slot is SDCCH (remaining 7 are TCH) It means it contains total 6+7+7=20 Traffic channels Check in Erlang B table Than the equipped capacity =13.18 Erlang with 2 percent GOS it will be 13.18 Erl(Check Erlang B table) 1 TRX=117 subscriber 1 subscriber=25 m erlangs (TCH) 1 subscriber=.004 m erlangs(SD) 1 TRX=2.94 erlang(2% GOS ) 2 TRX=8.2 erlang(2% GOS ) 3 TRX=14.6 erlang(2% GOS ) 4 TRX=21.2 erlang(2% GOS ) The no of users I think it depends on hardware vendor, and also BTS config. In our network E/// hardware, we have up to 12 TRXs per Sector. 4TRXs per RRU, which means that one sector supprt 3 RRUs, in our case 1 900 and 2 1800. and about users can be supported by one TRX, it depends on how your TRX is configured, if it is BCCH TRX, you have to exclude 1 TS for BCCH, also how many SDCCH are there in each TRX, fixed or semi fixed PDCH "PS Time slot". Let me give one example, if one sector has 4 TRXs, 2 SDCCH are configured for it, and we have for Data 4 TS, so we will have 8*4-1-2-4=25 Time slot reserved for speech, which can support theoretically in best conditions 50 users simultaneously if with 100% Half Rate.

This is example of strategy of TS.... 2/2/2 we usually use 1 TS for BCCH, 1 TS for SDCCH, 2 TS for dedicated Data, the rest in for TCH. for 3/3/3; 1 BCCH, 2 or 3 SDCCH (3 SDCCH if BTS located in LAC border), 2 TS for data, the rest for TCH for 4/4/4; 1 BCCH, 3 or 4 SDCCH (4 SDCCH if BTS located in LAC border), 3 TS for Data, the rest for TCH
