A superatom is a semiconductor heterostructure consiting of a spherical core modulationdoped with donors and a surrounding impurity-free matrix of great electron

affinity, as shown in Fig.1. If the band offset at the heterointerface is sufficiently large, all the donor in the core are ionizied and give rise to a nearly centro-symmetric oulomb potential outside the core.
