Internship Fall 2013-Spring 2014

Holt High School , Holt, MI Internship included a two semester long program in which I taught 10th grade algebra and AP Statistics, along with incorporating lesson studies, teaching experiments, unit planning and professional development. Jackson High School, Jackson, MI Placement included four hours a week observation in which I interacted with students during lessons, and also planned and taught multiple lessons in a Geometry, Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 class. Gardner Middle School, Lansing, MI Placement included two hours a week observation in a special education class. I interacted with the students during the class, usually working with one or two at a time with whatever subject was being covered that day in the classroom. Lansing Sexton High School, Lansing, MI Service learning included 20 hours a semester at an after school program tutoring students who needed help with homework and classwork as well as interacting with kids

Tutoring included assisting student with homework in geometry and algebra and re-teaching big ideas from the units. Math Tutor for 8th grade math student. Tutoring included assisting student with homework, helping to generalize certain topics, and planning extra activities that supported the topics being covered in the classroom.
