Shared Reading FYI:

This week we started to work on r-controlled vowels. We have learned that when r hangs out with a vowel it makes the vowel make a different sound. We really focused on the /ar/ sound this week and we intro duced the /er/, /ir/, and /ur/ sound and work on noticing the difference. We read about Smart Clark the superhero. We made our own superhero masks and went on a hunt for /ar/ words in our room. Its was lots of fun.

Sadly, we only have 36 days of school left. Each and every day is filled with lots of fun and lots of learning. It is very important for your sweet chickadee to be here everyday. I have been invited to lots of tee-ball games, soccer games, and ballet recitals. I am more than happy to come please just email or send a note with some dates for the games and I will do my best to come cheer on your amazing little person :)

This week we signed up for what part of the Baboon Spider we wanted to make a learn about it. The children have begun constructing the Savanna for him. They learned that the word savanna means land of few trees. The children are working on how to develop and burrow web for our spiders. We have been doing lots of thinking.
