Served as a classroom teacher working with others in the Social Studies department to create and implement the curriculum. Sought School Board approval for and organized the 8th grade Washington D.C. trip growing it from 72 participants the rst year to 146 in the forth year. Supervised two student teachers responsible for mentoring and evaluating them. Helped with administrative tasks including lling for both the principal and assistant principal when they needed to be out of the building.!

Served as a classroom teacher where I team taught with another individual. Responsibilities included creating our schedule and implementing the curriculum. During those years I taught all core subjects at one time or another, but focused on Math and Science. I received a grant to pilot the use of Palm Pilots in the classroom. I also organized a team made up of students (size varied from 14 students the rst year to over 60 in later years) to participate in the American Cancer Societies Relay for Life.!
