In this activity, you will work individually to combine your prior knowledge of WWII and the information from the provided website to create an interactive timeline of WWII. All information listed in the directions and on the checklist must be present in your timeline in order to receive full credit for this assignment. Navigate to http://history1900s.about.com/od/worldwarii/a/World-War-IITimeline.htm to access a timeline of WWII events. Using timetoast.com, create an interactive timeline with the following: Title your timeline and include a picture in the title. Pick at least 3 events of your choice from each of the following years using Add event feature: -1939 (Must include Germany Invades Poland) -1940 -1941 (Must include Pearl Harbor) -1942 (Must include Battle of Midway) -1943 (Must include Germanys Surrender at Stalingrad) -1944 (Must include D-Day) -1945 (Must include Atomic Bombings) *Chosen events must include exact date ** Additionally, at least one event per year must have an explanation in the description. The explanation should include at least 3+ sentences and tie the importance of the event to the rest of the war, with a picture.
