GS-09-Expert Program Execution
20% of duty hours in classrooms (8 hours/week) 2 hours of group trainings per month (30 min/week) comprehensive annual training program for assigned staff class instruction, role model, modules, one-on-one mentor, small group sessions, readings and special projects schedule trainings, provide monthly calendar to leads

provide feedback to staff and supervisors including observations of any non-compliance within 2 working days monitor/evaluate CYP staff IDPs; determine training needs ensure curriculum is completed by teachers & is developmentally appropriate review/assess lesson plans and child portfolios monthly complete class observation tool and CNIC inspection tool a minimum of twice annually

63 total staff responsibilities shared between T&Cs 80 hours a week for 2 T&Cs Time required for each staff if spent equally 63 staff / 80 hours = 47.25 minutes

The Breakdown
The following hours were calculated to represent, on average, the amount of hours per week per T&C of said task.

General Responsibilities

Observations in/formal - 8 hours


observe staff modeling to teachers conducting of feedback and reflections formal - write up, competency, observations informal - spending time with staff, being in class, to get feel, general function of room

Interactions/emails - 8 hours
updates from CNIC and Regional Communication between T&Cs Communication with managers and leads
training calendars reminders on trainings scheduling meetings ask about follow-through with guidance

SAC/Teen weekly meeting in/formal meetings with regional director, program supervisors, and leads regarding program functioning meeting with parents Inclusion Action Team (IAT) Webinars

staff must participate in 2 hours of group training per month trainings are created and conducted separately for youth and CDC Standardized training materials are not provided by CNIC

done 4x a year create yearly calendar of deadlines and timeframes for parent conferences communicate with staff and leads regarding upcoming deadlines help staff complete child assessment portfolios and summary forms look over parent conference forms provide feedback T&Cs must approve and sign each parent conference form

* In-doc employees - 5.05 hours


one-on-one time and training prep centers on new hires arrival focus/cater entire week to new hire scheduling make sure new hire makes it to correct room no CAC card = use of T&C computer new staff binder and logging training in CYMS module binder

CDC Curriculum - 4 hours


CDC curriculum is specific for T&Cs to do, mandated by CNIC

CDC curriculum cannot be tasked to other CYP staff First drafts on Fridays Mondays for corrections if giving back to staff, they have to return with corrections check if objective numbers match - explain why it doesnt match, which matches better advice on how to extend plans tip/suggestions to enhance ideas of staff talk to leads conference forms

SAC-Teen Curriculum - 1 hour


every month sticky notes on right/wrong tips/suggestions finding and providing resources for staff tips on curriculum, adjusting normally only half of curriculum is sent back for corrections

Quarterly CDC Observations - 4.44 hours


1 per CDC staff per quarter 3-4 pages plus resources to help staff reach stated goals
researching resources for staff
Ex. assisting looking up songs for teachers to use with kids

Book, age appropriate attention-getters typing up setting up meetings having the meetings write down how staff are doing in general sit down with lead and staff follow-up

*Modules for ALL programs - 4.5 hours

Done 2x a year for each infant, pre-tod, & toddler staff environment & paperwork (2 hour/classroom; 4 classrooms) 10 staff/teachers - 1 hour each

Tally scores create specific goals based on findings (between 1-5 pages per classroom) Follow through with leads and supervisors about how to complete goals Purchasing materials identified by ITERS and ECERS
