Friday: incorporate books about animals growing in spring/ new beginnings Thursday: plant seeds and display at child eye level. Friday: Nature walk for spring observations
Sand and Water Monday: add 2 watering cans and small mill
Tuesday: remove cans and mill and add gravel or beans and small plastic bugs (no water) Wednesday: Incorporate Easter grass and planting tools. Thursday: remove gravel or beans and add water. Include artificial flowers and leaves. Friday: on clean dry surface, add dirt and planting tools for planting activity. To do or Purchase Monday: Visit the library and rent books about nature, spring, butterfly and other animals life cycle, gardening and the earth. Create a butterfly/nature poster. Tuesday: purchase clean mud ingredients: toilet paper, soap, cheese grater and plastic tub. Buy small child safe tongs. Wednesday: Buy chocolate pudding, Oreos, and gummy worms, small cups and spoons. Thursday: Purchase seeds, soil, and small cups. Friday: Buy mint leaves, tomatoes, and cucumber, wash and slice.
Buy egg shaped chalk. Family/ Community Involvement Encourage parent involvement by providing newsletter and keeping them informed on what activities their children are working on and encourage to volunteer and allow opportunities to participate in class.
