Accommodations

Notebook, pen/pencil, whiteboard, dry erase marker, erasers

Start class with a spelling pre-test to get the students prepared for their spelling test tomorrow. Go over the correct spellings of each word after test is complete. Have students write each word that they got incorrect 3 times each.

Present the students with an example of teachers graphic organizer and ask students if they have any questions. Go over the checklist in the student textbook for what students should put into a good personal narrative.

Guided Practice: Have students go around the table and share their stories and answer the story questions (Who? What? Where? When? Why?) that are in their stories. Provide feedback if needed. Independent Practice: Have students work on their stories on their own. Walk around the room to offer support if needed. Students will use their graphic organizer to

Have students fill out their behavior calendars. Remind students that they will have spelling/vocab tests tomorrow and that they will need to finish the rest of their stories by the following day.
