How cancer changes peoples perspectives and beliefs on varying aspects of life.

Im interested in researching cancer. Im interested in finding different opinions on how cancer changes ones general point of view on life. Im hoping to find answers to whether or not there is an actual trend on thought patterns differing pre-cancer era of different cancer patients or survivors. Background I would like to think I know a lot on this topic, but I dont. I know how it has affected me. I know what cancer took away from me and how it has changed my being. I do not know though, whether it affects others, views and perspectives, as much as I feel it has affected me. This matters to me, as you can probably tell at this point into my proposal, because my life, for the past year, has been engulfed by cancer. This relates to my identity because the identity of the topic itself relates to me. Cancer has changed who I am and I want to research why, thus making it comparative to my identity. Research ALL ARE PEER-REVIEWED

It will help prevent bias from just surviving patients.

Multimodal Project Idea At this point I will be doing a video presentation for my multimodal project. I will, along with gathering data from cancer patients and survivors, be filming for the purpose of showing how it changes oneself through a means of modern communication. The video will consist of cancer patients and survivors discussing how their point of view on life, if at all, has changed. I will look at several points such as faith, outlook on life, and day to day thoughts. The audience for the project is anyone that has never had cancer or newly diagnosed. Plan for Research & Multimodal Project Im going to approach the research in the means that has been around for hundreds of years. Im going to crack open a book. I will do a bit of research every weekend, to prevent it from being overwhelming. The video presentation will be filmed along with the gathering of data from subjects. Most of that will be completed March 4 9 (Spring Break). It will be edited over the course of the week after having been filmed. Current Dates (Some)
