SPECIAL ASTRA-LINE ROPES (WHITE) 8 STRAND POLYPROPYLENE Astra Line yarns are composed with a polyver core and high grade polyester cover. This composite yarn has been proven to give excellent performance in resisting abrasion, on both the inside and the outside of Astra-Line. Its low friction leads to a decreased heat development inside the rope, giving a higher safety factor and a longer rope lifetime. Astra-Line is available in 3 and 4 strand contruction as well as in 8 strand plaited contruction. Apart from general mooring and towing applications, Astra-Line is also used very succefully in offshore applications such as SPMs (single point mooring systems). Also various navys use Astra-Line on board their vessels.
