Comments: For both categories (a) and (b), I rated myself a three. I feel that throughout the course of my program that I have learned how to use current educational research to support my opinions in writing. I am always seeking out ways to stay informed of what is current in education and how to apply that to the profession. In every course, I was required to seek research from a scholarly journal to gain insight on different topics in higher education. In the future I will continue to seek out new and innovative ways to remain current in the field.

Candidate regularly implements educational practices that demonstrate awareness, sensitivity, and expression of fairness related to the commitment that all students can learn regardless of differences.

Comments: Throughout the course of my program, I have learned that diversity is a very important component of higher education. Because of the courses taken, I am aware of what things should be in place in higher education to ensure that diversity is prevalent. I learned a lot in the course titled Contemporary College Student. We studied different populations on college campuses and completed research related to that population. I studied students with disabilities and learned a great deal related to higher education law and how administrators can better serve this population. With the information I learned I can now make informed decisions and possibly influence a shift of diversity on a college campus.

Comments: I know the importance of technology in todays educational realm. I consistently include technology as a portion of the learning in the classroom. Technology helps to maximize the learning that takes place inside and outside the classroom. Technology was used in every course for almost every assignment in some classes. I feel that now and in the future I have gained the tools needed to appropriately include technology as apart of any program on campus.

Candidate consistently accepts and responds to feedback in a professional manner.

Comments: For category (a), I rated myself a two because I feel that I do not complete self-assessments on a regular basis. I generally rely on someone else to request I complete a selfassessment. I feel that I will dedicate more time in the future to reflect on my work. I rated myself a three for category (b) because I welcome feedback from other people. Many times we cannot see the things that we need to work and someone else can. I will commit to complete continuous reflection and self-assessments in future endeavors. Although reflections were apart of many of the courses I participated in these past few years, I feel that I need to dedicate more time to evaluating my skills and my contributions to the profession.

Candidate regularly presents information that relates to the profession and individual actions in an honest and forthcoming manner.

Comments: For category (a), I rated myself a two because I feel that this semester I struggled at times to complete and submit class work on time. I feel that overall I was good at staying on top of assignments and honoring my commitment to the course. I completed all assignments and scheduled assignments on time except one. However, because of other things going on at that time I forgot to complete a discussion post. This is not an excuse but a learning experience for me. I learned that I have to better manage my time and prioritize my daily and weekly tasks in order for this same situation not to happen again.
