Grade level meeting to develop exemplar lessons that integrate ISTE Standards-T
Review and Evaluate proper implementation and usage of ISTE Standards to ensure understanding
Offer meetings during the summer 2014 break before teachers begin developing plans for the upcoming year. If teachers do not attend the summer session they will be offered during preplanning in August. Meet as a grade level once each month during normal planning time of the 14/15 school year to develop lessons and review current uses or ideas. Teachers will receive two 10 minute walkthroughs and one 45 minute formative assessment each semester.
No cost. Summer meetings would be recommended, but not required. *Possible $200 stipend per person as incentive to attend the Summer session. No cost. Grade level meetings are held during normal school hours and are already required weekly.

Goal: Teachers will use technology in the classroom to promote higher order thinking and increase communication and collaboration.

The district technology coordinator will work with the school technology team to plan Professional Development opportunities 4 times per school year to walk teachers and school staff through some basic functions of present technology in classrooms.
PD opportunities will be help 4 times each school year. It will be up to the Technology Team to decide on exact dates that would be most beneficial to other staff. 2 during First Semester and 2 during Second Semester.
No cost is needed because these sessions will be held on normal school hours such as in-service or pre/post planning.
The school technology team will use teacher feedback to create some screencasts and video tutorials on common technology problems that could happen in a classroom and how the teacher could solve the problem. These would cover things like cleaning SmartBoard filters, updating their PowerSchool software, printing their Progress Reports, etc)
Technology team will begin creating these self help videos after the technology Question and Answer PD session in October. Video database will be maintained and updated as needed throughout the school year.
No cost needed. All work on these videos will be done during school hours and planning periods. Technology team members involved in this will be rewarded with comp-time to be used toward their absences.
