PART A: I will assign each group of students different books to read, and they must create a video book report

on key events and their favorite parts of the book. The video must include pictures, audio, and words, as well as a summary of the book and the groups favorite parts. This project will reach to a LoTi level 5, Expansion, because students will incorporate several different aspects of technology into their presentation, and will also work with their group of peers to consolidate ideas. They will apply real-world opinions and facts while creating their book report, which is a LoTi level 5.

Once finishing the book and completing some comprehension activities on the book, the students will get a chance to create a movie on some main ideas of the book and also their favorite parts. The movie will be about 3-5 minutes long, and will be informative and interesting to other students in their class. After each group presents their book report, the class will vote on their favorite presentation. All in all, the teacher will be grading the presentation based on the features added and the points of the book covered. Blooms Level of Critical Thinking Required (check all that apply). Level of Technology Implementation/Engaged Learning: What LoTi level would this lesson be and Why? Which indicators of Engaged Learning are strong and why? This project will reach to a LoTi level 5, Expansion,

because students will incorporate several different aspects of technology into their presentation, and will also work with their group of peers to consolidate ideas. They will apply real-world opinions and facts while creating their book report, which is a LoTi level 5. The students become producers in this lesson because they develop products of real use to themselves and others (the class will benefit from learning about good books).
Importance of technology: Adding pictures and interesting transitions to the iMovie project is critical in creating a captivating presentation. Although the project could be completed without this software, the movie allows students to put into work their technology skills, and gives them a motivating challenge that a normal in front of class presentation just does not have. Inspiration (optional): None.

Internet Safety and Student Privacy: Briefly discuss some possible issues surrounding internet safety and student privacy that could arise while implementing this learning experience and explain how youd minimize risks to students/yourself, alleviate any fears by parents/administrators, and follow school districts Internet Safety/Use Policy.

It is dangerous for students to freely navigate around the Internet, because there is inappropriate information everywhere. To avoid this, teachers should give students a list of websites they can access for each lesson. Also, teachers can confront administrators and parents about other protection ideas; they can discuss

different ideas or strategies to keep students safe. To ensure safety on the internet, I will give my students a list of certain sites where they can find the appropriate material for the project, so no one will be searching aimlessly on Google.
