CORE INTERFACE (CIF) FUNCTIONALITY

CIF is the standard interface between ERP(R/3 or ECC) and SCM APO, used to transfer the master data and transactional data. Master data is unidirectional (from ERP to SCM). Transactional data is bi-directional. Below steps will help to establish the interface between ERP to SCM APO IN ECC SYSTEM NAVIGATE TO SPRO SCREEN.

NAVIGATE TO INTEGRATION WITH OTHER MYSAP.COM COMPONENTS

STEP:1 Click on Name logical System (T.Code BD54)

Select New Entries

Keying both ECC and APO logical systems names.

STEP2: Click assign logical system to client (T.Code SCC4)

Assign the logical system names to ECC client by selecting new entries.

Keying the logical system details.

STEP3: Click Specify SAP APO Release. (T.Code NDV2)

Mentioning the SAP APO component version in ECC system

STEP4: Click on Set up RFC Destination.(T.Code SM59)

Select ABAP Connections folder.

Select the SAP APO logical system and click on create icon

Keying the APO CLEINT details and under Technical Settings tab provide the application server(IP Address) and system number details.

After providing technical details provide user-id and password under Logon&Security tab.

STEP5:Click Set target system and Queue Type

Here mention the Q-Type (Inbound or Outbound).

In SAP SCM System Navigate to SPRO screen.

Navigate to Integration with SAP Components.

STEP6: Click name Logical Systems.(T.Code BD54)

Select New Entries.

Keying both SAP APO and ECC logical system names.

STEP7:Click on Assign logical systems to a client(T.Code SCC4)

Select New Entries.

Assign the logical system name to the client by keying the details

STEP8:Click on Setup RFC Destination.(T.Code SM59)

Select ABAP Connections Folder.

Select the ECC client and click create icon.

Keying the ECC CLEINT details and under Technical Settings tab provide the application server(IP Address) and system number details.

After providing technical details provide user-id and password under Logon&Security tab

STEP9:Click Maintain Business system Group. (T.Code /SAPAPO/C1)

Combining the required client systems to form business system groups. (SAP APO and ECC systems)

STEP10: Click on Assign Logical Sytem and Queue Type. (T.Code /SAPAPO/C2)

Select the relevent business system group and assign the queue type. Mention "X" to differentiate ECC Client in SAP Ind. coloumn
