Your teams job is to prepare a presentation to educate your classmates about one of the systems that makes up the human body. At the conclusion of the presentations an assessment will be constructed to check your knowledge of the form, function and purpose of the body systems, their parts and presented by all the groups. Your presentation will be in a PowerPoint, Prezi or Google presentation format and must include the following sections. Part 1: Introduction Name of your organ system and describe what its major functions are. This is a very important segment of your presentation, so try and catch your audience. Get them focused on what you are saying and gain their full attention.

Part 2: Teaching Display Provide a teaching display for your audience of your body system. Each member of our class should be able to view the display during your presentation. The organs need to be labeled clearly and their functions described clearly. This must be hand drawn so please be creative and neat. I will provide you with a list of organs/structures you will be responsible for on your display for your presentation. Your diagram must also list the disease you are researching and symptoms associated with that disease. Part 3: Teamwork Explain how the organs of your system work with one another and how your system works with other systems of the human body. No organ is isolated and working on its own, and no organ system is independent of the other body organs. Please be specific and please be complete. Part 4: Attention-grabbing Facts Please provide Five Attention-Grabbing facts about your specific body system or its parts. These should be facts or ideas that stand out from your project and make the audience say, Gee Whiz! They do have to be factual, you cannot fabricate facts For example: A sneeze can blast out of your nose at a speed greater than 100 mph Babies are born with 300 bones, but by adulthood we have only 206 in our bodies Part 5: Disease or Illness Please describe one illness associated with your body system. Discuss how it is contracted, what organs are affected, symptoms the individual may experience, is there a cure, treatment or any vaccinations that are available for the specific disease? Part 6: Hand Out Please provide a handout for each student in your class. Handout is a reference and study guide and must have a diagram illustrating your body system, key terms that each student should learn and know about your body system, and additional relevant information about your body system. Part 7: Works Cited You will need to provide a works cited slide of where you obtained your information. A maximum of five sources will be listed in MLA format.
