Competency %: The principal knows how to communicate and collaborate with all members of the school community, respond to diverse interests and needs, and mobilize resources to promote student success. I served as the treasurer or the !T" because ew others e(pressed interest, and o those I was seen as the most responsible. .ternness in duty though is only part o administration, e-ually important is not getting sued in the process. I read e(tensively, and looked or unintended conse-uences in the decisions I made, o ten seeking the e(pert knowledge o human resources. "s a mentor and !#C collaborator the imperative to pass on these skills and apply them to adults in a novel way. *hile aiding other instructors in curriculum design, I also had to implement peer targeted instruction aligned to state re-uirements or new teachers. #ike a magician working without sleeves, I approached instructors rankly with overarching goals, guidance, and tricks o the trade. *hile collaborating I showed how I used the same skills to create the strategy or their own program.
