Back in the year 1880 they had a major development of a temperance movement from of all women. That were against alcohol being distributed in the saloon`s, reason being they were concerned about all the all the trouble that alcohol would bring. The WCTU never got their argument though, in the month of December of 1917 the congress passed this prohibition the manufacturing, or sales, or even the transportations or importation of any intoxicating liquor. In the year of 1933 President Franklin D. Roosevelt, signed off so that alcohol was restored as legal commodity, and the regulation back to normal. The early year of prohibition back in the olden days did have a positive effect. Even though it was never granted, over several years past states gradually repealed their prohibition Laws. One of the states was Mississippi it was the last to do so in the year of 1966. As for the present moment of Alcohol sales it is not that bad it at 140 billion and half of that is on advertisement industry business commercials for the beer. In conclusion there are studies to prove that with effect of the rise of prices for alcoholic beverages have had a major impact of the consumption-.
