Procedures: List in sequence the actions taken by teacher and students throughout the lesson. A. Engage Students: (Diagnostic/Pre-Assessment must be included here.) Students will be taking a quiz on the game of soccer to show they know the game well enough to play. They will have to pass the quiz before they play in the gym. B. Communicate the Purpose of the Lesson to Students (Objectives and Assessment stated for students to understand): Rules of soccer, Equipment, History, and why soccer is an important sport in the world C. Instructional Sequence: (include technology this is a technology class) 1. While in the classroom, students will be taught through the smart board on the rules of soccer, the equipment, the playing surface, and why the game is important. 2. Students will have to pass a quiz showing that they know the game well enough to begin to play. 3. In the gym, students will learn to actually play the game. They will start by doing basic drills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting. Then they will work their way up to playing full games of soccer in the gym or outside depending on the weather. 4. Students will be graded on their knowledge of the game, not their talent.

D. Monitoring Student Engagement and Learning: (What will the teacher do to ensure student engagement?) In the classroom, the students will be asked questions through the smart board to make sure they are learning the game. In the gym, students will be doing many drills, which will help them learn the game. E. Student Interactions: (How will you structure opportunities for students to work with partners or in groups? What criteria will you use when forming groups?) Students will be doing many partner drills which will help them get used to playing the game. Students will have a partner throughout the lesson that they will do all drills with. F. Closure: Explain how the purpose of the Lesson is clearly restated by students (Objectives and Assessment include your summative assessment here)- Students will restate the purpose of the lesson due to the quizzes on the topic, and the playing of the game in the gym.
