I have had the privilege of working with Mrs. Miller for a few years under several circumstances. First, I knew Krista as a substitute teacher. Secondly, I co-taught reading and math with Krista in the fifth grade classroom where she completed her student teaching. As a substitute, Mrs. Miller was the type of teacher that you would hunt down and hope that she would be available to sub for you. She was flexible, knowledgeable, and most of all she held kids accountable. They knew when they saw Mrs Miller. and not me, that she would be holding them to the same standards as me. This is rare for students to feel toward a substitute. I have also had the opportunity to work as a co-teacher in a classroom where Krista was substituting for the general education teacher. I have seen her teach all grade levels and deal with all types of situations. Krista has never failed to amaze me with her ability to teach students, as well as adapt to the many situations that occur throughout the school day.

It was a wonderful experience for me to be able to collaborate on a daily basis with Krista. I had students in her fifth grade class as well as students from other classes that I pulled into Mrs. Millers classroom. As a special education teacher, you want your students to have a general education teacher like Mrs Miller. A teacher that can connect with students, a teacher that always accommodates for different learning levels, a teacher that includes them into the classroom. Mrs Miller has done so much for my students. She accepts them into her classroom, she is patient with them, she treats them with respect, and she has high expectations for them. I have seen Mrs. Miller build relationships with students that were unreachable by other teachers.

If you are looking to hire a teacher that is competent, dedicated, and who is a natural; then you are looking for Krista Miller. Krista has these qualities and many others that make her an excellent teacher and I highly recommend her for any teaching position.
