Dear Mrs. Douglas, Throughout this course weve had plenty of daybooks. Completing them all, I know how much time is put into each one. Assessing myself on my own daybook entrys I would give my work a B-. This is because I feel as if Ive completed more than most in the class. I took my time on each one and made sure they were completed entirely. The reason why I would not receive an A is because I feel as if I could be more organized with my work. With participation lacking in the class, not many students will receive a solid grade. Throughout the course I have not missed a single class. Coming to class prepared is one of my strong suits too. The one thing that will lower my grade is in class participation. Speaking out more in class would be more beneficial to my participation grade. With that in mind I would give myself another B-. With this big paper coming up research is key. Ive begun research about a week ago over spring break. Some problems I am running into are finding creditable resources. With my topic being Is it fair to pay college athletes, not many articles are on the UNCC libraries data base. As of now I am about 30% done with the paper. I dont have any questions, I just know it will take some time and effort to finish this paper.

Overall this course is very helpful. Its not to lay back but its also not to the point where I dread going to class. I feel as if I am doing average work to above average work. I know that there is plenty of room for improvement. So with that being said I average my grade out to being a B. Speaking out in class will help that grade and being a little more organized. Reflection 1: 5:16 With this daybook is was talking about learning disabilities in chapter 5. I wrote on how all kids should not be held to the same standards as another. Some kids cant help the fact that they were born in a different situation then other students. I feel I could have wrote more on the topic and went into more details. Reflection 2: 7:2 In chapter 7 it wanted us to start organizing a paper. I chose this daybook because its something Im writing my current paper on. With 7.2 it had us write questions to be answered in the paper. With this I wrote a few quality questions that Im still looking to answer in the paper I am currently doing. Reflection 3: 7:11 This daybook had us 2 facts against the athletes being paid and it also had us match that with 2 refutations. I feel these 2 reasons are main points in the argument having to do with the college athletes being paid or not. To make this daybook better I could have written more than just 2 for each. Reflection 4: Inquiry With this daybook we had to put 2 categories. I feel as if I organized this well. I had a good amount of line of inquiries. With those I matched them with questions. Then we had classmates make suggestions and questions which really helped me I revising the paper. These helped me realize

different points and helped me narrow down my paper. I feel that this is my best daybook entry because its something that really made me think. Yours truly, Kody Easton
