BACKGROUND and RATIONALE: Students will demonstrate a clear understanding of the life cycle of animals. This lesson is a continuation of Tennessee Department of Education standard 0107.4.1 Observe, describe, and record the life cycle of a particular animal. We will refer to the summary created here as we continue to explore the life cycle of animals. I am aware that the lesson will be differentiated for students who did not master the objectives and for those ready for enrichment. However, modifications are not covered in this course and are not part of this particular lesson. PROCEDURES AND TIMELINE:

Introduction: The lesson will begin with bringing students to the carpet. Once all students are seated and quiet, students will watch a video on the life cycle of a frog. After the video, we will have a conversational discussion of life cycles. Once done discussing, students will play a simple game of forming animal life cycles. Procedures:
Student Procedures: 1. Students will quietly watch the video on the carpet. 2. The student will listen quietly to the questions asked by their teacher, and raise their hand to be called upon when answering the question. 3. Students will play an animal life cycle game.
