April Rice FHS-1500-online 5/1/14 End of Term Reflection I chose to use these assignments on my eportfolio because, I feel that

they do an excellent job of showing how what I have learned this semester applies outside the classroom. Its important to me that I can learn something in class and apply it in my life. I need to be able to see how what I have learned benefits my life, or I dont see the importance of taking the class. These assignments helped me to see how the curriculum applies to me. The assignments that I chose were observations. These assignments were the biggest help to me in applying the knowledge I have gained to my life. We were asked to observe and analyze people in various stages of life. The two observations I chose were 18-24 months and 4-6 years of age. These observations seemed the most relevant to me because I know people with kids at or around these ages, as well as have relatives at these ages. I was able to compare the children that I observed to the children that I know and see how similar and dissimilar they were. I can now do that with most ages which can help me with my profession as I wish to become a Special Education teacher.
