We also take the first look at internet addiction as a form of study and what brought about the idea of further researching this matter, include is statistical data that will further emphasis my point of how serious a matter gaming addiction is and why this is such an important issue. This is a great resource not only because its and actual review and physiological study done with subjects to evaluate brain correlates of cue-induced craving to play online games in subjects with Internet gaming addiction (IGA), subjects in remission from IGA and controls but it also touches on key points explain how these individuals are becoming addicted, but also comparing this addiction on the same level as a substance abuse addiction. It also shows what these subject are getting from playing these games for example the subjects who were considered to have IGA claimed to have the same feelings of euphoria, an adrenaline rush, and even a feeling of being high. This is clearly a problem and with the data collected from this study I can reiterate my point about how people are becoming addicted and the problems that there facing because of this addiction. There really is no clear stance of what the researchers agree with all they do is present us with clear evidence and data however from the data we can conclude that the subject who did have IGA show Miller, Peter M. Principles of Addiction: Comprehensive Addictive Behaviors and Disorders. Amsterdam: Elsevier Science, 2013. Internet resource. Although a large amount of my research will be about internet gaming I want my readers to fully understand what addiction is, where it comes from and some of the treatment available for it. This book has clear sections and chapters that I will be using for my research mainly sections 1: The Nature of Addiction focusing on the following chapters, Chapter 1 - Historical Understandings of Addiction, Chapter 2 - The Terminology of Addictive Behavior, Chapter 4 An Evolutionary Perspective on Addiction, Chapter 15 - Gender Differences and section 3: Types of Addiction focusing on the following chapters Chapter 82 - Video Game Addiction and Chapter 89 - Internet: Immersive Virtual Worlds. I know that because there are so many factors and terms that will be brought up several times throughout my paper I want to make sure that at no point is anything vague or ambiguous to the reader, therefor this information is crucial it

clearly tells you what everything is in a nutshell so that readers will have a definite understanding of what clearly define a disorder or addiction and how addiction can happen. My Life As a Night Elf Priest: An Anthropological Account of World of Warcraft. Ann Arbor: University of Michigan Press, 2010. Internet resource. Bonnie Nardi is an American anthropologist whos most recent work concerns virtual worlds goes into detail in her book, My Life as a Night Elf Priest: An Anthropological Account

of World of Warcraft. Through her novel we take a first-hand look at how even a professor who curiosity about the game lured her to discover the addicting nature of it. She goes into deep discussion about where she thinks the addiction comes from and how as well as a discussion on gender in terms of those who play the game. Although this piece in more so focused on her opinion and her personal experience as a player it also accounts her realization of where addiction could have taken place for her. I also believe that because she is taking into account her own experience her opinion is an important one, where as other examples that I intend to use have an outside opinion because more often than not they havent actually played the games themselves.
