Summary
Through this study, we will try to identify the types of oil exploitation systems witnessed by the oil
industry in Algeria since the commercial discovery in 1958 until 2011, and its effects on the activities
of the oil industry. Where we focus on the upstream phase, which won good deal of legislation within
the evolution of the legal and regulatory framework for the hydrocarbon sector.
This problematic study focus on the way that oil contracts epitomized on the world in
general and Algeria in particular, and to what extent can affect the evolution of these
contracts on the activities of the oil industry?.
Key words: oil industry, source stage, downstream stage, the exploitation system of oil, oil contracts,
foreign partner, foreign investment.
