Educational Philosophy & Goals

Kelley Dudoit
We should not only use the brains we have, but all that we can borrow. ~Woodrow Wilson
Education and learning should be a shared experience. I believe that instructors serve as
facilitators of knowledge who should leverage the different partners in a learning environment.
Encouraging students to rely on those around them builds their capacity for group collaboration
and deepens the understanding of subject matter throughout the classroom.
You don't et har!ony when everybody sins the sa!e note. ~Dou "loyd
It is important to embrace the diversity amongst students. Each class encountered will be
unique. Essential to being a good instructor is the ability to accommodate these differences to
allow for a productive classroom environment.

I will aim to harness the different factors or influences that keep students motivated. Assisting
them in finding something that they are passionate about is a truly rewarding experience. When
this passion is unleashed it has the potential to lead to a stronger desire to learn and succeed.

Inspire students to look beyond the obvious. Engaging them in critical thinking activities will
give them the opportunity to develop a stronger sense of self. Internal reflection will allow them
to build a belief system from which they can grow. Equally important however is teaching
them to respect the beliefs of others.
