INQUIRING ABOUT TRANSPORTATION

This is our final week in the Unit of Inquiry Transportation
systems develop over time to meet the needs of a
community. We will developing a co constructed rubric
and use visual media to demonstrate how a type of
transport meets peoples needs. The students will be using
a stop motion program on the iPads to help achieve this.

MATH
This week, we will start to explore fractions. Students will
be learning how to cut shapes and even some edible snacks
into halves, quarters, thirds and sixths.

A great way to extend your childs understanding of
fractions is in recipes for baking and cooking. You and your
child could measure ingredients together to bake or cook
something. Then cut the final product into halves, quarters,
thirds or sixths.

www.everydaymathonline.com is a great resource of
games and support to enhance your childs math skills.
