taught here and was able to obtain a
position immediately after my
graduation.

and what degrees did you
earn?

obtain my teaching credentials and
graduated in 2008.
Did you have any previous
jobs before teaching?

this role I managed a team of software
developers, quality assurance techs and
documentation writers who were
responsible for developing software
applications to maintain electronic
records for patient health profiles as well
as physician credentialing.
Do you have a quote on your
teaching philosophy?
Every child has the ability to learn, it is my
belief that I can identify their strengths
and teach them how to use them.
Students have the ability to learn far more
than we all believe they can.

and awards
I recently was Tagged by the

school year I was awarded a grant by the
VB Teacher Foundation to build a
greenhouse at CFES.
Whats your favorite part
about teaching?
The students! I look forward to coming to
work every day and seeing their kind
faces. Their innocence and concept of
the world helps to keep things in
perspective. I have never felt so loved as
I do every day in my classroom. I am paid
with the BEST hugs and kisses!!
Whats your least favorite part
about teaching?
The hours. In order to accomplish all that
I need to do and do it well, it requires me
to work evenings and weekends which
takes a lot of hours away from my family.
We are provided only 45 minutes of
planning each day but this time is usually
spent responding to phone calls and
emails or meeting with other staff
members for collaboration, meeting with
administration and frequently parents. All
of our planning, grading, etc. occurs on
our personal time.
