United States Department of Labor. Employee Benefits Security Administration.
The Affordable Care Act: protecting consumers and putting patients back in charge of their care.
This source is primarily about the administrative choices that patients, or rather
healthcare consumers, will now receive due to the change in healthcare policy. This source
takes on an optimistic tone and seeks to point out the positive attributes of the change in policy.
I believe this source to be trustworthy due to the fact that this is an article that was
released by the article; however, it is important for me to consider the possible bias that a
governmental article might contain regarding a governmental policy. Additionally, the article is
relatively recent, and therefore has a greater degree of pertinency.
This is related to my line of inquiry because administrative decision-making availability is
one aspect of potential benefit for the consumers, and is therefore that must be taken into
account for evaluation of the policy.
From this source, I learned that the previous scheme of healthcare policy was semi-
restrictive on the options for coverage as well as aid that was available prior to the ACA.

Business, Subcommittee on Investigations, Oversights, and Regulations.
The health care reform law : its present and future impact on small business and job creation :
hearing before the Subcommittee on Investigations, Oversight, and Regulation [sic] of the
Committee on Small Business, House of Representatives, One Hundred Twelfth Congress,
second session, hearing held March 16, 2012.
This source talks largely about the ACAs impact on small business, seeing the change
as on overall positive one, due to the changes impact on insurance liability.
I believe this source to be trustworthy because it was released by our government and
the article itself is relatively recent.
This article is related to my line of inquiry because this article helps to explain the
economic impact (in part) that the ACA has on the economy, which helps to solidify its position
as a beneficial policy.
From this source, I learned that the previous method of insuring was rather unsightly for
small business owners due to the unavailability for most to provide workers with an appropriate
insurance plan that still fit the business owners budget.
