Immigration Biography from the
past
Between 1900- 1910 almost 1 million
immigrants entered the U.S per year. Most
immigrants were from Western Europe and
the British Isles. During The 1870s is when
the southern and eastern Europe immigrants
became more common which later became
all types of different cultures and races
became common in the U.S
Immigration Policies
As the population of immigrants in the U.S kept increasing the more rules and
policies came along which became a struggle to the immigrated families in
order to make a living in the U.S. As far as African Americans , Asian, and
Japanese immigrants, the rest of the immigrants did not have it so hard. For
Example Asian immigrants that were non- citizen were not allowed to own
land. Congress passed the Chinese Execution Act in 1882 which limited
further Chinese immigration. Most of all immigrants had jobs working on
railroads or construction or anything similar that made minimum wage just
barely enough to help their family needs. Most immigrants could not live in
the U.S either by sickness now or ever had a disease or sickness. Soe
either sneak in or come unlawfully or still decide to stay past their visa time.
My Immigration Policy
The immigration groups that I would allow into the U.S would be African
Americans, Chinese, Japanese and Native Americans. The reason behind
why i chose these top Immigration groups are because African Americans
are always labeled slaves which i'd rather look at them as immigrants. I
mostly feel as those immigrant groups are more experienced and can help
the U.S such as environmental or economic problems. Irish, Russian,
European,Jews etc will not be allowed legally into the U.S because they
don't really have a good enough reason to come to the U.S as such as the
other ones that are. Therefore, they shouldn't even consider it. As far as
deportation details, all immigration groups should have the different
deportation operations to get where they need to be. Also, making sure that
they will succeed in what they came to do. They can Obtain citizenship by
showing thier life history telling of no diseases or criminal records etc. that
can get them back deported. I will enforce problems by sending them to
prison for any of wrong doings or just taking them back to their country.
Penalties for illegal immigrants are life in prison or deported back to their
country into prison.
