What is AIDS?

AIDS stands for Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome. It is not
something you inherit from your parents. Your bodys immune system
includes all the organs and cells that work to fight off infection or
disease. You get AIDS when your immune system is deficient, or
isnt working the way it should. A system is a collection of symptoms
and signs of disease. AIDS is a syndrome, rather than a single
disease, because it is a complex illness with a wide range of
complications and symptoms.
Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome is the final stage of HIV
infection. People at this stage of HIV disease have badly damaged
immune systems, which put them at risk for opportunistic infections
(OIs).

Slogan Explanation

Spread the Knowledge, Not the Virus means that
if more people who know about AIDS, then less
people will be infected with the virus.
Target Audience
We want to capture the attention of youth ages
13-24, gay/bisexual men, and african-american
people.
We chose this audience because these are the
groups of people that are most severely affected
by HIV/AIDS.

Goals of Campaign
Our main goal is to inform people of all ages and races in
Georgia about AIDS.
Another goal is to spread the knowledge to all the major
cities of Georgia , we will organize events that will
inform people about the disease and allow us to raise
money to help people with AIDS.
Campaign Method
To advertise our campaign, we will use billboards, radio
stations, and social networks like Instagram and
Facebook.
Our event is a Walk for AIDS, it costs $5 to enter the
walk and all the money we make will go to charity.
We want everybody in Georgia to know about our event
so that we can raise a lot of money to give to a charity.
