The Empire of Byzantine was the eastern portion of the Roman Empire, which

was divided in 395 A.D. Its capital of Constantinople, located on a peninsula,


was naturally secure from invasion on three sides. Its stable economy provided
a strong military and, advanced civil engineering, a high standard of living. The
Byzantine Empire was one of the most powerful empire in the whole world.
Christianity was firmly entrenched in Byzantium. Although the predominant
language was Greek, Latin was also fairly common, and at one point all
seventy-two of the world's known languages were represented in
Constantinople. The Byzantine Empire was not the was an oasis of peace in the
desert of the perilous middle ages. On the contrary, its long history is marked
by numerous wars and remarkable internal strife.

Art in the Byzantine Empire is so famous until today There are a lot of arts
accessories in museums around the world, very old and also very expensive.
The arts boards are also very interesting as well. They have things such as
statues, rings made of expensive materials An important aspect of Byzantine
artistic activity was the painting of devotional panels, since the cult
of icons played a leading part in both religious and secular life. Icon painting

The Byzantines has a state-organized school system that allowed the
bureaucratic workforce to get an education in reading, writing, grammar, and
to study classical Greek literature, philosophy, and science. This system
provided for basic literacy and intelligence in most people, a concept of the

The Byzantine Empire had affected the world positively because today we still
follow their culture and some of our education and other things in the world
They were very good at fighting they won most of the fights that they battled.
