The top 50 laws of Far Far Away:
The President
1. All laws or bills to be passed by the president will be investigated thoroughly to make
sure that it is not just a personal benefit, but for the better of the country.
2. If the president breaks any laws while in office, his position will be terminated and he
will be banished from the country.
3. The president will select one week out of every two months to have as personal time.
The vice president will fill in during this week, but the president may be called back if a
crisis occurs.
Crimes and Criminal Procedure
4. Any person that commits a crime will have a fair chance at a trial unless they are caught
with cold, hard evidence. Then there will be no time or money wasted on a trial.
5. Any person that commits a murder shall be put to death if determined guilty.
6. If an illegal alien commits a crime of any sort, they will be put to death.
Protection of Personal Property
7. No one can kill fairytale creatures unless they are ogres and they are damaging or
attacking personal property.
8. Any person causing damage to anothers personal property, they may be put to death
by that property owner in an act of self defense.
9. If an animal causes damage to another persons personal property, the owner of that
animal must compensate for the damage.
Theft of personal property
10. If anyone is committing a robbery and is caught, they shall be punished by the decision
of the owner of the property.
11. If anyone steals livestock, they must reimburse the owner of the livestock, and be
punished by the decision of the owner.
Flag and seal and the states
12. Every town will have a pedestal that boasts the country flag, the state flag, and the seal.
13. The flags are never to be damaged.
14. Anyone who knowingly insults the flag will be punished.
Agriculture
15. There will only be ten legal pesticides in the country.
16. If caught using a pesticide that is not allowed by the country, the user will be punished.
17. Distribution of crops is to the local community first, and then sold to importers to be
sold around the world.
18. If crop harvests are sold illegally, the seller will be revoked their land and equipment and
be punished.
19. Any crop can be grown on the land, unless it is an illegal substance (i.e. Marijuana).
20. Any crop less than twenty acres must be manually plowed, planted, and harvested
without the use of machinery.
Banks and banking
21. A bank will be provided for the people in each town.
22. The bank is a place for the peoples money, and is not a money-making organization.
23. And bank employee caught with holding personal money from anyone will be
immediately and greatly punished.
Aliens and nationality
24. Any alien coming to the country must become a resident within at least one year of
entering.
25. Any alien that has lived in the country longer than a year illegally will be banished
immediately.
Education
26. A first through twelfth grade education will be provided by the country to each and
every child resident.
27. The schools will be funded by the government with a percentage of the money from
agricultural and mining exports.
28. All residents must attend schooling until they can complete through and eighth grade
education. After that, the childs family will decide if they would like to continue on until
they complete a twelfth grade education.
29. To have a career that is anything above a laborer, a person must have completed twelve
years of schooling.
Labor
30. To become a paid laborer, you must be 16 years of age.
31. You must have at least an eighth grade education.
32. Any laborer that contracts children under the age of 16 will be punished
Hospitals and Asylums
33. There must be one hospital within one hour of every single town.
34. Each hospital must have no less than fifty nurses and doctors on duty at all times.
35. Illegal aliens are not permitted treatment at any hospitals.
Intoxicating liquors
36. A person must be 18 years of age to ingest alcohol.
37. Alcohol is only permitted between 5:00 PM and 12:00 AM.
38. Anyone caught ingesting intoxicating liquor at anytime outside of 5:00 PM and 12:00
AM will be fined.
39. Vehicles and machinery will not be operated by any person that has a Blood Alcohol
Content of .084561234563 will be punished by jail and receive a fine.
Transportation
40. Motorized vehicles are only allowed to be used if one must travel more than five miles.
41. Any amount of miles under five must find a way of natural transportation (i.e. walking,
running, bicycle, horseback riding, horse and buggy).
Hunting
42. Hunting is not for sport.
43. Hunting is a way of supporting ones self and family.
44. There will be no wasted part of the animal. If one is unable to harvest all parts of the
animal, it must be given to someone who is able to, and a small fee will be charged.
45. If a person is caught wasting any part of an animal, the will have any hunting privileges
revoked for life.
Law Enforcement
46. All law enforcement personnel will go through a selection process by the residents of
each town.
47. Any applicant may be turned down for the position if their personality and mentality
does not fit the job.
48. Any law officer that violates a law themselves will be punished immediately and
severely.
49. Any law officer caught treating a resident unfairly or unreasonably will be removed from
their position.
Ethical Laws
50. Every single person is permitted to smile and wave to everyone they pass by.
