A 15-week practicum where I took the lead of a classroom from day one. I engaged in long range planning and continuously made changes to my lessons due to continuous formative assessment. Taught the entirety of the subtraction, addition, multiplication, and division strategies units. I also taught the entirety of the hearing & sound, and rocks & minerals units. Completed a professional inquiry project, in which I focused on developing students reading and writing skills with the use of precision reading. Worked collaboratively with other staff members to create a student centered learning environment. 6 week practicum where I taught the entirety of the linear equations unit and the light and optical unit. I also took part in teaching track and field events. I integrated a wide variety of technology to promote student learning. These activities included a photo scavenger hunt and edited videos that were made via their cell phones.
