Chaedizzle....new name?
Travis arrived and you told him to go to class...girl walked out to talk with him. You closed door:)
10:26 okay guys we are getting started order of groups on the board..just noticed same quiet guy Caleb has.. Will
he get in front of class?
Okay guys, take out a sheet of paper....so are they voting on their proposal ?
Does everybody have a sheet of paper...walked around to check and then gave them group name to put on paper.
Let's give them our attention,,,you need to take notes on their proposal .
*what is the rubric? Is it what is in the assignment sheet? Any criteria for delivery? you stopped them to ask how
what was the water and pushed them to get a solution ...you guys didn't say pipes. Can you repeat your solution in
one nice sentence? He was stumbling...he was rambling and you helped him and summarized for him, asked if
they all got that. So basically, pipelines.
Next group:so their country is France.
Difficulty pronouncing other territories
Problem: war on hunger...
So can you guys summarize? You restated for the class.
10:40 Julian and Matt...their country is Japan
Matt drew the flag..all white..circle in center.stated Japan started WW II ... Problem is water...so UN should give
money to build wells.

10:46 Cheyenne and Jelisha Nigeria.
Couldn't hear Alisha...you asked if they could all hear that?
Okay?
Sam and Clayton : Russia

For them they want the UN to help cut Dow. On greenhouse gasses ...do you guys have ideas how they would do
this? Summarized: cut down on green house gasses.
10:52 so guys you should have five proposals...we will finish these on Friday?
Put computers back and plug them in.

Questions: how much time were they given to complete this?
Rubric used? Focused on problem.
Were these up to your expectations?
How did this fit into what they have been studying?
What happens after this project?
How will students use this information/ proposals?

Comments:
You handled the class really well and have developed a good working relationship with your students,
You grouped students wisely for presentations considering abilities.
Activity fit into larger unit incorporating individual student and group assessment.
You communicated well with students to move their thinking forward, and restated each groups problems for notes
to make voting decision.

The best observation yet...congratulations!
