2.2. Fixed issues
2.2.1. The following issues are solved in this firmware.

1. Debug log file may not be saved even if trouble code appears because MFP reboots to clear trouble before debug log data
is generated.
2. When printing the specific web page on IE9, some images are printed as black.
3. C-E301 occurs if Comm. List screen for Fax TX/RX, FAX TX, FAX RX in J ob List is touched under the following situation.
- Address Book name is registered by over 12 two-byte characters or over 12 one-byte Katakana.
4. Function Permisson settings for Account Track are returned to default setting if Main power SW is turned off and on.
5. If the custom size original is copied or sacnned with 2-Sided by using auto detect size, the image on back side is cut off.

Following Software Switch is added for this issue.

6. The previous job and the next job are printed on one page at the same time by electrical noise. (Added the memory reset
processing when there are time spare between the previous job and the next job.)
7. Panel freeze
- The Panel freezes if the Reset button on a log-in screen is pressed several times in a short period of time.
- The Panel freezes as internal memory is depleted.
- The Panel freezes due to the influence of USB class driver.
8. When "Forward & Print (If TX Fails)" is set in Fax forwarding Settings, a received fax is not printed if forwarding fails during
Sub Power off.
9. When printing a fax job from the Memory RX User Box, Delete confirmation screen is shown unexpectedly.
10. If a user touches/swipes a card immediately after logging out, the function which warn user for forgetting to remove a card (a
new card cannot be read for an approximately 4 minutes) will be able to turned off.

11. If Fax number is entered by 10 Key and perform FAX sending immediately after Scan/Fax screen is displayed, the job is

13. When receiving RX FAX, the error code R11 may occur.

22. Default language for searchable PDF is always set to English even if system language (display language) is changed to
other languages.
23. When Account Track and password is enabled on the machine and marketing Area in Service mode is set except J apan.
When select first the lower button to fill in the password, the keyboard is shown as a gray patch and the machine hangs up.
24. After pressing Scan To Desktop button without having paper in ADF, the application is getting logout.
25. Correct the wrong wording in the following message of Program screen. The actual key name is [Recall].
- Touch [Call] key to retrieve the program.
26. Correct the following wrong French wordings.

32. The specific PCL macro data can not be registered from PSWC.
Caution:
If the following a Macro file is registered by PCL font, the macro file can be registered for PCL font.
- Both the form and the PCL Soft font is included in a Macro file.
33. When printing the specific PS file by direct print, MFP hangs up.
34. The font can not be downloaded from MacOS.
35. Correct the wrong Chinese wordings(20 items).
36. C-FA16 occurs when printing a file created by the special Application for customer.
37. Starry effect may happen on the reverse side of the paper in duplex mode when the 2nd transfer voltage is set to the
Automode.
38. C-FE03 may occur with ZU-606.
39. Image Log Transfer job is not counted in the Usage Frequency Counter for CSRC. But, it is counted as "Scan" job.
40. If perform scan by RealTimeTWAIN, it is displayed on Active job list as "SCAN" instead of "TWAIN".
41. If 201 or more documents are saved in the Memory RX User Box, MFP hangs up if the document after NO.201 is deleted.
42. If Copy or Scan/Fax or User Box screen is displayed and Fiery icon (Info Icon) is pressed after Keyboard for "PrintMe" of
Fiery is displayed, Please wait keeps displaying on Controller Details screen.
43. If Address Book name is registered by over 12 two-byte characters with "-", Address Book name is broken by "-".
44. Frame Erase setting for Program is not reflectded even if Program with Frame Erase setting is selected after Frame Erase
setting is set.
45. The authentication parameter input screen is displayed when login by Enhanced Server authentication using authentication
application.
46. If the following procedure is operated, Fax address or I-Fax address registered by Direct Input is cleared.
1. Open Address Detailes of Fax address or I-Fax address registered by Direct Input and touch "Edit" button.
2. Touch "Cancel" button.
3. Touch "Edit" button again.
47. If the following procedure is operated, Port Number of FTP address registered by Direct Input is returned to default setting
(21).
1. Open Address Detailes of FTP address registered by Direct Input and touch "Address Edit" button.
2. Change Port Number and touch "OK" button.
3. Touch "Address Edit" button again.
48. The following message is changed when the Start key is pressed.

Before change:
"J ob is being canceled."

After change:
"The job is being stopped"
49. When the PCL macro is used and performing the composite, the blank page is printed out.
50. If the main power switch have never been turned OFF and ON, the following symptom may occur when PSWC is opened
repeatedly many times.

-PSWC may not be opened.
51. C-E301 may occur when the main power is turned ON.
52. If Main power SW is turned off and on, Account Name for Synchronize User Authentication & Account Track is returned to
the previous setting even if Account Name for Synchronize User Authentication & Account Track is changed after log in.
53. The following Software Switch does not function when the MFP with Management Device 2 is installed after user for User
Authentication is registered.

1. Select the copy program registered on the 2nd page (or the 1st page) and move to the 1st page (or the 2nd page).
2. If "Recall" button is touched, the copy program registered on the 1st page (or the 2nd page) in the same position is
reflectded.
59. If Address book is displayed from Address Type under the following situation, the Address icon type is not displayed
correctly.
- Address book name is the same although Address Type differs.
60. C-E301 occurs if "Rotate Page" button or "Delete Page" button is touched by Real-Time Preview for Scan to Box.
61. The following setting is returned to default setting if Main power SW is turned off and on.

62. If two A5LEF size documents are set in ADF and perform Scan to SMB with "Cover+2-sided", "Now Scanning Original"
continues to be displayed.
63. If performing Scan to FTP with the following file type, the transmitted file cannot be opened.

64. When the loadable driver for Ysoft is already installed, C-E301 occurs if the loadable driver is installed.
65. When receiveing PC print job while the sub Power SW is turned off under the following setting, the PC print job is not printed
out even if the sub Power SW is turned on.

66. Correct the wrong Simplified Chinese wording for Copy Button Name on Top menu.
67. When Debug log function is ON, Panel lock occurs if login as the user who does not exist in LDAP server on "Main+External
Server" authentication environment.
68. If the following MIBs are acquired while printing J ob, the MIB values are "zero-length".
- prtInputMediaName and prtInputMediaType
69. The Conflict Error is not displayed in the following combinations on FAX/Scan mode.
- Black
- Compact PDF, J PEG, Compact XPS
70. J ob is not stopped even if the stop key is pushed on the warning screen of maximum number of pages with staple.
71. If paper empty occurs when printing the Increase Priority job, the Increase Priority job can not be restarted even if the paper
tray is changed.
72. When the setteing of program job is changed, the original is not scanned and the completion screen is displayed if the
preview is pushed on the Tab original screen.
73. If the Register Key for OpenAPI Application is pushed on "Insert Plug-in Counter" screen, it is not connected to application
and "Insert Plug-in Counter" screen is displayed again.
74. If the document details for the document in the Password Encrypted PDF User Box is opened, the selected document is not
selected and the first document in the list is selected.
75. If recall the program registered by program job is ON, "Now scanning original(s)" keeps displaying and the preview is not
displayed if displaying the preview.

76. If "OFF"is selected in IPv6 setting under the following settings, "The network data is now being processed...." keeps
displaying and MFP hangs up.

78. If entering Administrator mode after returning from Sleep Mode while the document is set on ADF, C-B116 may occur and
then C-E301 may occur.
79. If receiving the PC-FAX job and sending the fax job from User Box by PSWC repeatedly, C-B116 may occur.
80. Even if the horizonal adjustment for the monochrome OHP is performed, it doesn't work correctly.
81. C-E301 may occur if the Main power SW is repeatedly turned off and on.
82. The following Software Switch does not function by External Server Authentication.

83. If performing the scan without open the original cover after the Main power SW is turned on, the scan size is detected by
A3/11x17 although the document is not set on the original glass.
84. If the Touch Panel remains touched, MFP does not enter Power Save Mode.
85. When I-FAX number and IP-FAX number are entered by direct input and sending by multi-address transmission, IP-FAX job
continues to be sent if the Main power SW is turned off and on while sending IP-FAX job after I-FAX job fails.
86. If Busy Redial occurs by multi-address transmission of IP-FAX, the next multi-address transmission continues to be sent.
87. If ADF is not installed on MFP, Panel lock occurs when MFP enters Power Save Mode.
88. When printing the document with custom paper saved in User Box, the following symptom occurs.
- When the paper type is changed and printing and "Replenish paper" is displayed, "Replenish paper" keeps displaying
even if the requested custom paper is set.
89. The scan job fails if sending the scan job from ScanBrowser after displaying the document saved in User Box.
90. If the document with 1200dpi saved in User Box is sent to USB Memory, C-FA03 occurs.
(The document with 1200dpi saved in User Box can not be sent to USB Memory.)
91. Conflict Error is displayed if "Original Direction" is selected after "Long Origina"l is selected.
92. When perform the scan sending with PDF/A, "Now Scanning Original" continues to be displayed if the PDF/A font is not
installed.
93. The default setting for PDF Web Optimization function is enabled.
94. You may not enter Service Mode.
95. If the document with Booklet and Header/Footer saved in User Box is printed, C-FA14 may occur.
96. C-E301 occurs if the multi-address transmission is deleted while sending the scan job.
97. When FAX J ob is forwarded to Group destination with IP-FAX is included by FAX Forwarding, the address for IP-FAX is not
forwarded if J PEG/XPS/CompactXPS/PPTX/XLSX/DOCX is selected by File Type setting.
98. When PDF file created by Searchable PDF function is opened with Acrobat, PS error may occur from the halfway page.
99. When a sales counter is printed, MFPs counter will not be count-up but the number of printed paper in a J oblog will be
count-up.
100. Error C-E301 occurs for mismatching in the internal data as HDD is changed.
C-ED01 will be displayed as the mismatch in the internal data occurs as HDD is changed.
HDD Format will be necessary when this trouble is displayed.
101. If Paper orientation is changed on the enlarge Display Mode while printing the job by OHP from Manual Tray, Panel lock
occurs.
102. Account Track will not be recorded on a job log if the main power is OFF/ON while a machine process a job.
103. When a large number of MIB request (Over 3000 requests) is received, C-E301 may occur.
104. If the following operation is performed from PSWC, C-E301 may occur.

105. If IPv4 address is changed by manual input after the Main power SW is turned on by Auto IP, C-E301 may occur.
106. If "OFF" is selected in IPX setteings, it may take about 30 seconds to display the Network setting button.
107. When perform Scan to SMB to the folder shared by DFS, it may fail.
108. While printing by choosing recycled paper mode, the machine doesn't control the fusing temperature correctly.
109. In the case of choosing PS Designers Mode in 1200 dpi mode, the defective fusing image may be printed on the first print
page.
110. When scanning A6SEF original(s) with fax/scan mode, margin will be added to the scanned image.
111. When scanning A6 SEF 2-sided original(s) to SMB, the alignment of the 1st and 2nd side of scanned image position
becomes off.
112. The sub tray full detection control method has been modified for FS-534.
113. The paddle on FS-535 continuously turns.
114. There is a possibility of C11A2 misdetection.
115. The warm up state does not complete if the door on the PI or J S was opened during the remaining paper is being fed out
due to a paper jam occurred on FS-535.
116. The paper aligning (5mm) was occurred when the copy/print was made by the corner staple mode for FS-535.
117. The paper aligning (5 to 10mm) was occurred when the copy/print was made by the 100 sheets staple mode for FS-535.
118. J 72-86 was occurred when the multiple 20 sheets job was made by the center staple & fold mode for SD-511/512.
119. The paper aligning (2 to 3mm) was occurred when the first copy/print only was made for FS-534.
120. The following issue is coped with.
- FAX line is always on.
(If there is no reply from Fax board, Fax board is shut down and the fax job is redialed.)
121. When the "Enter Power Save Mode" is set as immediately, C3925 may occur while the machine is warming up.
122. When Black & White image is printed at a plain paper or a thick 4 paper or a postcard in 1200 dpi mode, the image density
become light.
123. When Black & White copy is printed after the monochrome stabilization is performed, the graduation in the part of low
density on the print is not smooth.
124. Starry effect may happen on the reverse side of the paper in duplex mode when the high resistance paper is printed.
125. C-1184 (Paper discharge control motor's malfunction)
After sleep mode, the control of the paper receiving control motor (M12) was modified.
126. When printing the specific Excel file from XPS driver, C-E031 occurs.

2.2.2. The followings are modified in this version.

1. The default settings in Service mode are changed.
2. The Model Name Customize Data can be deleted.

3. Functional restrictions
3.1. Remaining Issue
The following issues will be corrected in maintenance release (End of J anuary, 2013).
1. User Authentication fails if the following operations are executed while the Primary Enhanced Authentication Server is in out
of operation.
- Log in from the network (PSWC etc.) while being logged in from the operation panel.
- Log in from the operation panel while being logged in from the network (PSWC etc.).
2. The square mark may be displayed in the specific web site.
3. Some characters may be broken in the specific web site.
4. If sorting the information in the specific web site, some column may not be displayed.

3.2. Functional restrictions
1. If the following procedure is operated by using XPS driver, all sheets are printed out as one set though multiple sets of copies
are specified on the printer driver. (This is a problem caused by the application software.)
1. Set the number of copies on the Adobe Acrobat X.
2. Open "Page Setup..." and printing the job after click "OK" button.

[Workaround]
Set the number of copies in properties of the printer driver.
2. An MS-Excel file that can be printed as one page with 600dpi setting may be printed in 2 pages if the resolution is changed
from 600dpi to 1200dpi. (This is a problem caused by the application software.)

3. If the IPP connection is selected on the Port setting of XPS Driver and the preview function is enabled, the following
symptom occurs. (This is a problem caused by the OS.)
-Although the print job is correctly completed, an error job remains in the spooler. The error job will be automatically deleted
afterward.
4. Printing becomes impossible when XPS driver is installed by the following procedure (SMB). (This is a problem caused by
the OS.)
- XPS driver is installed by SMB Browsing from Network.
- XPS driver is installed by IP Address Browsing from Network.

[Workaround]
Perform the following steps, when you install the XPS driver via SMB.
1. Open the Devices and Printers, then click [Add a printer].
2. Select the [Local printer].
3. Select the [Create a new port] and choose the [Local Port].
4. Enter "NetBios nameservice name" for the [Port Name].
5. If the "readme" is opened by the Auto Run in the CD-ROM that is comes with the MFP using IE8 or IE9 then print it by using
XPS preview function, an error message is displayed and it can not be printed.

This is a problem caused by the IE9.
Please do not open a file from the link of Auto Run and Please open a file directly.
6. When log into the Authentication web site from Web Browser, you can not log in if characters other than one-byte characters
are used.
Only one-byte characters are supported for the Authentication web site from Web Browser.
7. Some content may not be displayed in the specific web site.
Please zoom in the web site.
8. The Print and Delete button which has grayed out on the User Box in PSWC can be pressed.

9. The function of Google and SharePointServer does not work correctly from Web Browser.
The web site (Google and SharePointServer etc.) where contents and a function are always updated is not supported.

* Refer to the Readme.txt file which is included in each driver and application for other functional restrictions.

* Additional memory installation is required when using the following Open API function.

4. How to install
4.1. How to install program
Use USB memory to install. For the details, see the Service Manual.
Conditions for USB memory which can be used for updating the firmware are as follows:
- Securities such as data encryption and password lock shall be released, or the security function shall be turned Off.
- Memory with 1 GB to 2 GB are recommended (One with 4 GB or more may not operate)
- Compatible with USB Version 1.0/2.0 interface
- Formatted with FAT32 type
- A USB flash memory that appears as multiple drives on a computer cannot be used.

4.2. How to check card version

4.4. How to install voice data
The following options are required to use the voice guidance function.
- EK-604/ 605 (local interface kit)
- i-Option LK-104 v3

4.5. How to install OCR Dictionary Data for Searchable PDF and PDF/A Font Data
i-Option kit is required to use these functions.

4.6. How to install Unicode Font Data and OCR Font Data
Install Font Data for LPR using LPR command from the PC.
Install Font Data for USB using USB memory.

4.7. How to install Loadable Driver
1. Extract the attached exe file and save xxxxxx.tar file to root directory of USB memory.
2. Insert the USB memory to USB port of MFP.
3. Call the Service Mode to the screen.
4. Touch [System 2] ->[Driver Install].
5. Touch [SET] and press Start button to start installing the data.
6. Check that data is normally installed from the message that appears on the control panel.
7. Turn OFF/ON the main switch.
8. In the Service Mode>Billing Setting>Management Function Choice, select Card or Body in Authentication
Device2 and press OK button.
9. Turn OFF/ON the main switch.
