The third Transdisplinary Theme in PUP 6 is WHO WE ARE. It is an
inquiry into the nature of the self, beliefs and values; personal, physical, mental, social and spiritual health, human relationships including families, friends, communities and cultures, rights and responsibilities; what it means to be human.
In this unit, the central idea is Peoples action and behaviour are influenced by their beliefs, values and cultural background. Because this unit is the last unit before the exhibition unit, PYP 6 students use this opportunity to do class inquiry for preparation of the PYP Exhibition later. They will have exhibition introduction session before they make class lines of inquiry, assessment task, learning resources and also learning engagement. At the end of the unit, student will choose one culture practice/ a certain cultural element (norms, actions, belief and values, etc) and interpret it through different cultural background. E.g. eating habits around the world, greetings, table manner, lullaby around the world, etc.) etc. This can be presented in any format of presentation.
