PSALM 152

O Lord, you are might y, strong and victorious; Lord you are
almight y and glorious. Praise your name, Praise your holy name! O
most high you reign forever; Your name will continue for ages to
come.
As it has come form ages beyond, from befor e the begi nni ng
of time your name has rung from the ages of pioneer s, medi eval
night s, e!plor er s, and patri archs. Your great name has sung through
the ages. "rom the lips of bot h evil and good; at hei st and godly; proof
of your e!ist ence is seen.
As also in the beaut y of your creati on; how beautiful is your
handiwor, O #od! $he trees so various and lovely, the mount ai ns
ma% esti c and beaut iful as are the flowers. $he ani mal s, too many to
count & each one lovely and wondrous in their own way. Your ma% est y
is too great to behol d, your love for us too great for us too
under s t and.
$hat you would send your only 'on to eart h to e!peri ence our
humannes s , to see our evilness and now the pain of deat h at our
hands yet dying for us so we could live with you! You are so
wonderful we could not possibly pay you bac for all that you have
done for us. (ven though you send good things and bad to bot h the
%ust and un%ust , even though the wiced seem to profit and the good
are struc down we now that your will is being accomplished through
all.
)e praise you through troubl es becaus e we now that you will
bring good through them. )e now that you are always ther e to help
us when we need it, that you are ther e for us each time we hurt;
whet her physically or emoti onally. You too hurt whenever a child
suffers mal nut rition or abusive parent s, you suffer with each
pers ecut e d *hristi an, re% ect ed teenager and crisis +ridden adul t. You,
personally wipe each tear when ased and cal m the fears of all who
are afrai d.
Your words are words to live by. $hey show us how to live our
lives accordi ng to your will and your way. You do ama,i ng things; lie
raising the dead as you, yours elf were raised. You are the only living
'avior who is risen! Your angel s precede your every st ep announci ng
your arrival, procl ai mi ng your comi ng.
O Lord, we await your comi ng with great anticipati on and
impati ence. -ow long will we wait till we may see your glorious face
and live in your wondrous paradi s e for all et er ni t y. Lord, we will
endur e anyt hi ng to be to be close to you; do anyt hi ng to be with you
in your heaven. )e now we are not wort hy, yet you invit e us in, at
what little cost as our lives given to You.
)e need not worry if we are in your hands becaus e we now
that it will always wor out and will be for the good. (ven if we are
emoti onally hurt so that it taes year s for us to recover we now that
it is all for your divine purpos e, so we endur e it, however hard.
)e wait, / Lord, for your ret urn; we cannot wait to get into your
glorious par adi s e! )e cannot wait to leave this imperfect world to get
to your home, which you have made ours. 0ut we must wait, so we
do; nowing that in your perfect time you will tae us home with you
forever.
