APPLICATION OF PROBASE:

Commonly, Probase is use widely to stabilize soft soil for road building. Before it had been use in few
states locally, but now it is use in more than 13 countries worldwide. Since the launch of Probase Road
System back in 1998 with installation at Nam Heng Estate, it than dramatically transformed the living
experience in estates and rural areas. Besides, the Kenya also has been customer and sign MoU worth
RM150m worth contract in order to upgrade two stretches of roads measuring 50 kilometres each. It is
the sixth project in Africa after Congo, Ethiopia, Uganda, South Sudan and South Africa.

ADVANTAGES OF PROBASE:
Currently, soil stabilization using chemicals gets more attention than other soil stabilization methods.
This is due to the low cost and convenience of this technique, especially in the geotechnical project that
require a high volume of soil improvement. The objective for soil stabilization technique is to increase
the strength parameters, enhance the loading capacity, and decrease the settlement of the soil.
The uses of Probase soil stabilizer are water-proofing, maintaining the strength, erosion free, dust free,
environmental friendly and economical. Soil sealed with Proseal can effectively prevent water
penetration compared to unsealed roads. Besides, it helps to maintain the strength of the soil. The non-
water soluble layer of protection keeps the road dry. Test results from previous research shows that the
road strength is maintained even on heavy downpour. In addition, rainwater and water can cause
erosion of 75 mm per year without sealing. The usage of Proseal may prevents erosion, saving cost on
resurfacing while protect the environment. Finally, the protective layer of Probase virtually turns the soil
road into a dust-free environment.
