WHAT IS ROBOTICS?
Robotics is the branch of
technology that deals
with the design,
construction, operation,
and application of
robots, according to the Oxford
dictionaries. Robots are used in
numerous ways for a wide variety
of purposes. The field of robotics
is steadily growing and making its
way into every industry. Robotics
is the technology that is bringing
us into a new age of ability.

ROBOTICS ENGINEERS
Can be educated in computer
science, electrical engineering,
mechanical engineering, or a
combination of these
Design, maintain, and improve
robotic systems
Supervise the personnel who build
the robots in order to ensure that
the process is completed correctly.
Preview the designs of the
technicians and test them for
system issues
Are needed in manufacturing,
agriculture, mining, medical,
military, and space technology
industries

WORKING
WITH ROBOTS
ROBOTICS TECHNICIANS

Work under robotics engineers,
doing maintenance, building,
troubleshooting, and documenting
Are trained in mechanical repair,
electric circuit design, and
computer programming
Work in places like factories and
automation facilities
Repair broken or malfunctioning
robots and work quickly to
minimize the loss of the robots
production time
Have diverse education because
they must be able to fix whatever
problems arise in the robots,
whether they are physical or
computer error
